I think that this might be one of the Trachelas spiders (not 100% sure). I wouldn't worry about it, but if you do try to move it outside just don't pick it up with your bare hands. That's pretty much the only reason that any spider will ever want to bother with a person. BTW - I prefer an empty shoebox for moving something like this.

 
I agree.
I agree with John's ID, and his method of relocation:-) This kind of spider does not spin a web, so they sometimes blunder into houses by mistake in their search for prey. Male spiders (the image is of a female) of virtually all species will also wander in search of mates, so will turn up indoors as well.
