Size: ~ 3 inches.
Found on my front porch at night.

Yes, female.
At that size it is probably the "robust conehead," Neoconocephalus robustus. Males make an incredibly loud, continuous buzz. It is ear-splitting at close range. Update: Looking closely at the nose cone, I am siding with N. triops.
