Green June beetle

Green June beetle
Key Largo, Miami-Dade County, Florida, USA
October 7, 2007
Caught in the web of a Golden Silk (Banana) spider (Nephila clavipes)

Moved
Moved from Green June Beetle.

Not sure
Could be C. nitida (which is the only species in FL), but they usually have pale yellowish femora. Do you think this could have been a Euphoria species?

Hey Brad:
Thanks for the heads up. I'll have to look into this and see what I can find out. Unfortunately, I was too focused on the spider and beetle that I dod not take dorsal shots of the beetle. Live and learn ... hopefully!
