I was looking for aphids to see if I could find lady bug eggs when I spotted this pair.

Family Bibionidae, March flies
The family this pair belongs to is Bibionidae, the March flies. The female is the one to the left (with the red thorax), the male is the totally black one on the right with the big eyes.
