Spring Green Preserve SNA, Sauk County, Wisconsin, USA
September 30, 2004
Wasp and parasites were collected (30 September 2004) from the rock face of a rocky outcrop on a dry bluff prairie.

Strepsipteran parasite of Polistes
The parasite is the genus Xenos, subfamily Xeninae. Clearly female - you can even see the brood canal! Great photos.
