mystery beetle - Trirhabda schwarzi

Size: 3 or 4mm
Looks like a little Chrysomelid (Diabrotica) - or possibly Meloidae (Nemognatha)??? Can anyone ID or point me in the right direction?

Do you recall the plant?
The leaf here doesn't look too far off from the host plant Brickelia californica of T. schwarzi. That would reinforce the identification here.

Moved
Moved from Trirhabda.

A chrysomelid certainly
Possibly the genus Trirhabda.

Looks like Trirhabda,
but isn't 3 or 4 mm a little small for them?

My estimate
of 3-4mm was just that, an estimate made in the field several hours earlier. It could well have been in the range 4-6mm. I carry a compass with length units along its side. Guess I should start employing it!

If this is Trirhabda it keys
If this is Trirhabda it keys out to Trirhabda schwarzi which is 5-7mm long.

Definitely Chrysomelidae but not that genus.
Rob will no doubt be much more informative.

Thanks Jim,
these little guys confuse me, but good.
