Catocala underwing moth - Catocala

Catocala underwing moth - Catocala
Cienega Creek, Pima County, Arizona, USA
October 16, 2007
Size: Large (forewing 2")
Large underwing moth. Hindwing appeared red rather than orange. Not sure it's identifiable to species from the forewing alone.

Catocala
Probably Catocala junctura, # 8829.

Thanks Jim, it looks pretty good for junctura.

Jim
Actually, Jim is the one who took the photo over at Moth Photographers Group (MPG). My "J" stands for Jason. Sorry for any confusion. :)

Oops, my bad.
Thanks Jason.
