Mantis - Tenodera aridifolia

Mantis - Tenodera aridifolia
apollo, armstrong County, Pennsylvania, USA
October 19, 2007
Size: approx 5 in.

Moved
Moved from Mantidae.

Hard to say.
I have seen some female Chinese mantids that were all green, but the European mantis is more consistently monochrome:-) The clue: bold black spots under the "armpit" of the front legs means it is a European mantis.
