Fresh Specimen - Eumorpha labruscae - female

Fresh Specimen - Eumorpha labruscae - Female
Lakeland, Polk County, Florida, USA
October 13, 2007
Size: 68 mm head to tip of abdo
Simply beautiful. It was resting on the infield of a baseball stadium. Another fine catch that was brought to me by a thougthful student of mine. In my four years here, I have never seen this species until now. Students have spotted three in the past couple of weeks.
