Syrphid, something in Milesiini?

I had previously identified this as Mil*esia vir*giniensis. Not sure why. Spil*omyia or Tem*nostoma look closer but could not find a good match.

Temnostoma looks right.

(The other photo on this post is a better match with yours, but the info on this shot is probably helpful.)

 
I think so too.
I must have glossed over this species because the postures of the examples were so different. All the patterns do seem to match well.

 
Not so sure.
I agree with the genus, but personally, I would wait for Martin Hauser, or another syrphid expert to confirm the species....

Eric, I already moved it... without making a comment...
It looks like Spilomyia, but they have striped eyes, or Sphecomyia, they normally have long antennae.. And in Temnostoma, it is characterized by the yellow scutellum and the two big yellow spots on the thorax before the scutellum... So I am relative sure I put it in the right species...
