Burrowing Bug - Amnestus

Burrowing Bug - Amnestus
Lake Kegonsa State Park, Dane County, Wisconsin, USA
October 20, 2007
Size: 2-3 mm
This, and a number of others like it, were on a rock on the lakeshore. While nothing was seen on other rocks there were several of these, about a dozen Asian Lady Beetles another insect I'm trying to identify, and a very small spider. This was about half the length of the Asian Lady Beetles. It looks closest to the Burrowing Bugs in the guide, but I can't really tell which one. Any help would be appreciated.
