Female Katydid? - Plagiostira gillettei - female

Female Katydid? - Plagiostira gillettei - Female
Big Water, Kane County, Utah, USA
June 15, 2007
This girl got irate when I tried to remove her from the picnic table. She showed up after a strong wind had been blowing for a few days. Is this a Mescalero Shield-back Katydid?

Confirmed
Thomas Walker has confirmed this is Gillette's.

Not Sure,
But SINA doesn't show that Katydid in Utah. Check out Gillette's Shieldback here. I'll contact Thomas Walker of SINA and ask him to confirm. If it is Gillette's it will be the first image for bugguide, and since I see that SINA doesn't show a female he may want to use your image for his site as well if you are willing to give him permission.
