Size: 9mm without legs
I found this on my daughter's bike in our garage. We live in the Coastal Plain section of South Carolina if that helps.

Based on
the presence of an epigynum, clearly visible between the lungs in the full-sized version of this photo, I'd say it's definitely an adult female.

If you crop the image before uploading, more people will be able to see those details, since only editors and the original uploader can see the full-size version. Not all editors are experts, and not all experts are editors.

I'm not an expert either, but it does look like one of the widows. Smarter people will be along shortly to offer more help. :-)

 
Not
as smart as Jay, but it is a brown widow.

Juvenile?
It could possibly be a juvenile Black Widow. (but I'm not an expert so I'd keep looking to verify).
