looks like Culex pipiens. The key would be to look at the light bands on the abdominal tergites. Cx. pipiens should have ones that are not straight sided, but rather shaped like crescents. The other similar Culex is restuans, and that sometimes has 2 light spots on the thorax (e.g.. I would say just put it in with pipiens.

two spots on the other photo. Both are so closely related and are commonly mistaken for each other. Definitely a female Culex looking for a place to overwinter indoors

I added a brighter (edited) picture of the head and thorax and moved the lot to Culex (no species) since I can't tell the difference.

Could be a restuans then. Specimen in hand would be the way to go for this one.
