Plant Bug - Neocapsus fasciativentris

Plant Bug - Neocapsus fasciativentris
Pena Blanca Lake - Coronado National Forest, Santa Cruz County, Arizona, USA
October 21, 2007

Moved

Neocapsus belongs to Mirinae ...
See PBI

^^

Ooops
Did I place some wrong?
Never mind - I see - new.

Moved
Moved from Plant Bugs.

Second thought, it seems to be Neocapsus fasciativentris...
and I withdraw my previous suggestion.

Please refer to http://www.sil.si.edu/imagegalaxy/imageGalaxy_enlarge.cfm?id_image=5894, #24.

Calocoris fasciativentris was renamed as Neocapsus fasciativentris later.

Same species
as the one linked below. I´m not that positive concerning the guess to genus - it may well be a different one (Deraeocoris?).
Please add (estimated) size of the bug!

Around 1/4 inch

I agree with Boris
...

interesting
I think it resembles M*etriorhynchomiris.
It appears possibly related to this other one you recently submitted
Info says "Nearctica lists 3 species" - but the guide currently has just one, so maybe this is another species or a variant. Seems like we should be able to nail it with those 4 distinctive spots!
