Carabus granulatus
from Europe

Carabus granulatus
Yes, Carabus granulatus is a species introduced to North America from Europe. In British Columbia one must also consider the very similar holarctic species "Carabus maeander". The latter species differs by being more robust + shoulder border of elytron with very tiny serrations + absence of a distinct longitudinal ridge on elytron between midline suture and first row of linear tubercles as seen in above image.
