Spinybacked Orbweaver - 28 Oct. 2007 - Gasteracantha cancriformis
New Bern, Craven County, North Carolina, USA
October 28, 2007
Size: approx. 1.5 cm
Found at edge of woods in red tip bush, about 6.5 feet off the ground. "Bird warning" tufts were in place about every 6 cm. on web.
