Black and Brown Spider - Pimoa altioculata - male

Black and Brown Spider - Pimoa altioculata - Male
Puyallup, Pierce County, Washington, USA
October 26, 2007
Size: around 8 mm

Moved
Pimoa altioculata is the only listed species in WA on the Nearctic Spider Database. I hope that is reliable.

EDIT....

R. Crawford says that there are 2 other Pimoa
spp. in Washington, P. curvata and P. haden, but my ID is correct.

It
looks like a Pimoa. Adult male.
Nice image.

Wow,
it's great to find some new stuff. This will be the second new spider for me since moving to WA. I guess that makes up for the serious lack of bugs in general. (I'm in withdrawal.) Thanks for the info.
