Angus's Datana Moth - Phlogophora iris
Town of Plymouth, Sheboygan County, Wisconsin, USA
September 10, 1996
Larva at 53 days old. It turned pink on September 11, 1996; did not form pupa or cocoon, just stopped eating and appeared to be in diapause. Overwintered in refrigerator. Brought out of refrigerator in Spring of 1997. After waiting all summer, the larva that seemed to be in diapause just dried up.
