Wooly Bear Feet - Pyrrharctia isabella

There were many of these on and around the Foothills Trail.

Here in Puyallup we have a clover field that is has a large population of caterpillars each year, and by large I mean you have to watch each step to keep from squashing them. They seem to be most visible and active in late September.

I haven't seen one of these since I was a kid in Ohio. Nice shot of a nice specimen.
