This is in the Tribe Syrphini
This is in the Tribe Syrphini and is either Eupeodes or Syrphus. I can't recall the distinguishing features off hand, but I think they are difficult to determine from images. Check through the genera in the guide and read the comments from the real experts (not me) who explain the key features.
