Spider Wasp - Priocnemis oregona

Spider Wasp - Priocnemis oregona
Lake Roosevelt, Ferry County, Washington, USA
May 6, 2006
This wasp appears to have serrate tibia...

Priocnemis oregona!
Ah, one I recognize:-) It came on the tails of the sphecid, so I ignored it until now, sorry. Not a bad image of a hyperactive insect!

Thanks Eric!
It looks like you know this one very well-- Priocnemis oregona and prey are described in an essay credited to you at http://www.puyallup.wsu.edu/plantclinic/resources/pdf/pls108tarantulasinthepnw.pdf

I do remember this wasp being pretty skittery, lots of wing flicking. Located clost where I spotted a Tachypompilus
unicolor later in summer. Do you know if P. oregona specialize on folding door spiders/do they prey on others such as wolf spiders? Thanks again.
