Size: 18mm
Although it strongly resembles the far more plentiful larvae of Pyro*chroidae in form and habitat, note the shorter head and caudal spines, as well as the configuration of the latter, which differs from that of Pyro*chroidae. ID supplied by Dr. Dan Young, U. of Wisconsin.

This photo should probably be confined to Cucujidae so as not to confuse anyone. Just a guess. For some reason it was copied to the first level of Pyrochroidae.

Revisit similar images.
Oh boy, we may collectively have provided incorrect IDs for those other larvae! Ok, "I" personally may have. We might want to revisit those other images.
