Baiting orchid bees at Gumbo Limbo Nature Center - Euglossa viridissima -  Boca Raton, Palm Beach County, Florida, USA November 5, 2007
In order to successfully court females, males seek out specific compounds from an assortment of sources including some species of orchids and leaves of a variety of plants, etc. We had some amazing results as shown here! The compound used here attracted in excess of 80 male bees!
