Size: probably under 5 mm
This was the larger of two apparent species collected with sweep net mid-day. These bugs hopped like fleas using their front legs. I don't even know what order to look in for them. My guess is they're immature.

Caliscelis bonellii female
This is the female - no, not another species! Nor are they immature. The adults have just very short, scale-like wings, exposing the robust abdomen, and giving them the name of "piglet bugs."
