Size: 1" (24mm)
I had my doubts as to whether there really was such a thing as a pink Katydid until I found this one. I do not know the scientific or common name.

It would be cool
It would be cool if it was the same species as the blue one.
Pink - girl, Blue boy? Color coding them seems too easy.

Bush katydid female.
Female specimen in the genus Scudderia. Impossible to conclude the species without association with a male....The color is probably due to her having fed on leaves with pigments other than chlorophyl, typical of late-maturing specimens. Neat find, though:-)

Thanks
Thank you Eric, for the info. I was really curious about the color as much as about the species.
