Better submitted to ID Request
Let me offer a general suggestion: The guide is for bugs that have been identified- when you don't know even the order of a bug, there's really no reason to post it there. For one thing, anyone who doesn't use Recent view to check for new images won't even see this. When you have it narrowed down to a group that might have specialists checking there instead of ID Request, that's a different story.
In this case, I can tell you it's definitely a moth, possibly something along the lines of a Clearwing Moth,
Family Sesiidae
, but that's just a guess. We have several moth experts, so I'm sure you'll have a much better answer soon.

Veined Ctenucha
In the past, I've been told to submit to the most specific category I can. In this case, I knew that it was a winged insect, but I wasn't sure closer than that. I've never had a problem getting suggestions from there, as is the case with this one. It's clearly a Veined Ctenucha as suggested earlier.
