Syrphid larva?

Size: ~1cm
I found this larva on a rose leaf, feeding on a colony of aphids.

Nope
Maggots don't have eyes yet. They are sensitive to movement and touch, that's the reason a syrphid mom tries to lay her eggs very close to aphid colonies!
What you see is part of the respiratory system, and the golden dot is the opening from a breathing tube, whereas the lines are the breathing tubes in the body!

Yes, it is a syrphid larva, subfamily Syrphinae.

do these maggots have vision?
im guessing the gold dots are eyes and the lines trailing from these eyes are optic nerves?
