Longhorn Beetle on Leaf - Analeptura lineola

Longhorn Beetle on Leaf - Analeptura lineola
Albemarle County, Virginia, USA
May 17, 1986
The best ID I can come up with is Analeptura lineola. The stripes don't match the picture in Yanega but he says the pattern is variable. The stripes match better on Stenocorus vittiger, but the pronotum and head shape seem different—or maybe it is just the way the pinned beetle in Yanega is posed. Comments, elaborations, affirmations and denials appreciated.

I agree
Yes it looks like a male Analeptura lineola and appears to have a fine dusting of pollen on the legs and pronotum.

Thanks, Frank
Thanks, Frank! I will move him to the proper page.
