But which one?

St Johns county, FL many Ladybird Beetle Larva - Harmonia axyrid
Hello, just wanted to say that in my backyard which is on a lake I’m finding many of these Ladybird Beetle Larva - Harmonia axyridis. Wondering if this bug has any side affects or is poisonous? It went to scratch my leg and realized it was stuck to my calf and after removing it, it showed that it was sucking my blood as my calf was bleeding.

County?
It always helps to know the county. Will you please add that info?

No County
Independent city of Norfolk.

Scott

Our understanding is that
forked spines means Harmonia axyridis

Also, pattern on back is distinctive.

Thanks!
Imported for aphid control....hmmm.

Scott

Unfortunately causing heavy competition
for our native lady beetles. Will we ever learn from our mistakes?
