My length estimate of 1-2 cm for this should probably be ignored. I recently discovered I'm pretty bad at remembering how long something is. Considering its size relative to the flower, I think it's probably safe to say this fly was not any larger than 1cm, but I'm fairly confident that it was at least .5 cm. I'll see if I can edit it. I do know that it was distinctly larger than the
Eusphalerum sp
that I photographed on the same flowers.
