Ant from I-10 and Freeman Road, Arizona - Aphaenogaster cockerelli
I-10 East and Freeman Road, Maricopa County, Arizona, USA
November 24, 2007
Size: approx 10mm

Aphaenogaster?
Lanky body kinda reminds me of Aphaenogaster. It's in the Myrmicinae, anyway...note the spines on the propodeum (or whatever Mymecologists call that region of the body).

Aphaenogaster cockerelli most
Aphaenogaster cockerelli most likely, the other less probable choice is A. albisetosa.
