Greenish phase, once again identified by hind tibia coloration, shape of subgenital plate, thickness of fore-tibiae, and bilobed cerci.

Obscura?
As I understand the difference, the subgenital plate for S. alutacea should be rounded and U-shaped, as described and illustrated in Capinera et al (2004)'s field guide (p. 143). This grasshopper seems to have a sharply pointed and notched subgenital plate which should be S. obscura, I think. Am I seeing this correctly?

Nevermind - my confusion
The several angles of images of the genital plate here helped me understand the angle from which to view the subgenital plate. (Very confusing in published line drawings!)
