You can actually post directly to the species level
a search of this site will get you to a guide section which has images and usually info on your creature - unless it's something unusual, we probably have it here somewhere, as this is the most comprehensive site for North American insects. Please read the Help section for info on how to use the site. When you post to the species level, you'll also find the scientific name shows up automatically in your title.

Rather than general information on the creature (which we probably already have) you can use the Remarks section of your form to tell us where you found it and what it was eating/doing, or how you made the ID.
