Unknown Tiger Moth - Spilosoma

Unknown Tiger Moth - Spilosoma
Marlton, Burlington County, New Jersey, USA
May 25, 2007
Size: Maybe around 30 mm body?
I only have the one image and I'm stuck
Virginian Tiger Moth - Hodges#8137 (Spilosoma virginica) http://bugguide.net/node/view/498
Agreeable Tiger Moth - Hodges#8134 (Spilosoma congrua) http://bugguide.net/node/view/3409
Salt Marsh Moth - Hodges#8131 (Estigmene acrea) http://bugguide.net/node/view/3242

At one time I had marked this file as Salt Marsh Moth (Estigmene acrea), but I have no idea why, or if that is correct?
I have seen caterpillars that look like Virginian Tiger Moth (Spilosoma virginica) in the yard, but they may not be related to this moth.

This is definitely Estigmene
This is definitely Estigmene acrea, one of the prettiest moths I've come across, including Silk and SPhinx moths. Do you know if it had a orange abdomen? That would clinch it, but I'm sure its a Salt Marsh Moth

Sorry to disagree!
My vote is for Agreeable, Spilosoma congrua

Well I'll be
It appears that Salt Marsh has black femurs and a bit of white whereas the Agreeable has white femurs and a bit of black. Good call, one more reason I don't do moths

Others
I added a couple of others I think may be better images, just wondering if you would be so kind as to give them a look. Thanks. These moths were later in the year and nearly all white. May be totally unrelated, just wanted to see what they were.

I'll weigh in reluctantly:-)
A quick look at the salt marsh caterpillar moths reveals all existing images show several black spots along the costal margin of the forewing. Your specimen here shows only one, suggesting it is something other than a salt marsh catperpillar....Moving to Spilosoma genus page.

Legs
Would that change this one?
