Small mantidfly - Leptomantispa pulchella

Small mantidfly - Leptomantispa pulchella
Cawston, Okanagan-Similkameen, British Columbia, Canada
June 24, 2006
The specimen shown is Leptomantispa pulchella. It was attracted to lights.

Moved
Moved from Dicromantispa sayi.

L. pulchella
My mistake. This specimen is Leptomantispa puchella, not Dicromantispa sayi. According to Cannings & Cannings (2006) there are only two mantidfly species in BC: the small L. pulchella and the wasp mimic Climaciella brunnea
