Size: ca. 11 mm
This species has been refered to by Ev Schlinger as Eulonchus timberlakei (in manuscript). It is usually metallic green with aqua-blue highlights on the thorax. It can also have bronze highlights on the abdomen. Its found in the Oak-Woodland and Chapparal of Tulare & Kern counties. Best floral hosts are yerba santa and bush monkey flower. Note the long proboscis and prominent ocellar tubercle. The femur is dark but the rest of the leg is pale from the knee on out.
