Twelve-Spotted Brown Tiger Beetle - Cicindela duodecimguttata

Twelve-Spotted Brown Tiger Beetle - Cicindela duodecimguttata
Town of Baileys Harbor, Hidden Corners Sanctuary, Door County, Wisconsin, USA
Size: 5/8 in. long
Adult crawling on pathway around pond. ID by Tiger Beetle expert, Ron Huber, Bloomington, MN from slide on April 4, 2004. "Congratulations on identifying the Twelve-spotted. Most people would have called it C. repanda because your morph has more connected elytral markings (we have some in western MN that are almost inseparable from repanda, except by the shape of the pronotum: square in repanda, trapezoidal in duodecimguttata)."
