This species is larger and grayer than Prolixocupes lobiceps, and is found in the yellow-pine forest of the Sierra Nevadas. They're slow flier, but usually hovering flight just out of reach.

This is fairly close to the t
This is fairly close to the true color, though it should be a bit more gray in appearance. The specimen hasn't faded, but the lighting may be adding something. This is not a dark species, just a silvery gray with darker gray markings.
