Odd bug - Ammopelmatus

Odd bug - Ammopelmatus
Pocatello, Idaho, USA
October 10, 2007
Size: See remarks.
This bug was found in the mountains around Pocatello. It is a big hombre, the body being about the thickness of a large male's index finger, and half as long. Any ideas?
