Not Tomocerus but Pogonognathellus dubius
...

Tomocerus dubius, possibly
Hard to say, really. The scale cover is quite damaged. Also the antennae are damaged. I cannot see whether or not the antenna is complete. The right antenna seems incomplete. Assuming the length of the antenna is = about body length, it could be Tomocerus dubius.
Tomocerus vulgaris has antennae shorter then body. Has a purplish iridisation and golden transversal bands at the segment margins.
Tomocerus minor has antennae shorter then body. And has a uniform bluish iridisation.

Hmmm...first I had to focus on leafhoppers (literally) and get some better shots. Looks like my new mission is to try and get some decent shots of these guys. Any hints?

When I find some, they're jumping around like fish out of water. Is that how the antennae are getting busted and the scale covers damaged?

I'll see if I can get some better shots over the next few weeks.

The scales
that cover the body of Tomoceridae are easily detached. I guess this specimen must have hit a lot of objects while jumping around... The long antennae of Tomoceridae are quite fragile. Normally they are recovered in a few subsequent moults.
Good luck with your Collembola hunt. But be gentle... ;-)

to Arthropleona. I know Frans Janssens checks here, but I don't think he always gets to stuff in ID Request/Recent

thanks, Chuck
Better to have it in an area where the knowledgeable check! :)
