Unknown Sawfly larvae - Allantus

Unknown Sawfly larvae - Allantus
Marlton, Burlington County, New Jersey, USA
September 28, 2007
Size: Maybe around 20 mm?
I believe the number of prolegs and colied-up pose (later image) make sawfly larvae a good guess. Is species possible? Found on rose bush.
