Have to...
go along with Troy's comment about the spelling. Without looking at the nomenclature history and whatever ICZN rules may have been applied it's best to go with the most recently known authority. My reference had Scatophaga as well, but it was older. This could have been a
lapsus
that was allowed to stand. Taxonomy is such a fun world to play in. ;)>
