Goldenrod Gall - Eurosta solidaginis
American Tobacco Trail south of Scott King Road, powerline cut, Durham County, North Carolina, USA

Size: 22 mm
Gall with hole from emerged fly. Diameter of gall is 22 mm. Diameter of hole is approximately 1.5 mm. In a few cases, flies die, stuck attempting to get out of the gall.
