Found this near my Japanese Aralia, possibly hunting for flies or other insects.

Moved from Oecanthus. I've moved this guy into Narrow-winged Tree Cricket. John is right, your shot of the base of the antenna shows the classic sign for O. niveus - a 'J' on the first segment. You have an interesting photo here, because if not for the great view of the left antenna -- one might have thought it was a Snowy Tree Cricket. From this angle, the right antenna seems to show a milky white area with a black spot in it....which is the marking of O. fultoni.

Not an expert
But I would say Tree Cricket (Oecanthinae), genus Oecanthus. Since I think I see a "J" on the antenna I would say Narrow-winged Tree Cricket (Oecanthus niveus), but wait for an expert as I could be wrong.
