Chuluota, Seminole County, Florida, USA
December 23, 2007
Size: 1/4-3/8"
Spider was poised on petal of an angel wing begonia.

Moved
Moved from Eustala.

Thanks!
I hadn't even realized how green this spider is until I looked at the other eustalas. It is pretty, isn't it?

Very!
And the red-green colors are quite appropriate for the season!

Not an expert
But this may be something in genus Eustala. Maybe we can get an expert opinion?

Orb Weaver, Eustala sp.
The shape of the abdomen and cephalothorax are good for Eustala (Araneidae). There are some beautiful variants of Eustala anastera out of Florida.
