Millard Canyon, Los Angeles County, California, USA
June 13, 2007
A common but seldom seen southern California katydid. It inhabits native chaparral vegetation throughout the state but is secretive and does not readily fly to lights. Similar to Scudderia but smaller, not as slender and with shorter wings.
