hmm... P. mirabilis is not known w. of MI
acc'g to(1); this doesn't mean Tom's wrong, of course -- it's just a bit surprising, since WI Panorpa fauna is well studied, with 14 spp. recorded, of which 5[!] are not on the ON list

I had no idea there were so many variations to the wing pattern. When I identified that specimen, I did not have access to the Internet...only one insect book. Thank you so much for finding this information on the Alberta website. Rest assured I will keep the URL in my data base.
