Forest Yellowjacket? - Vespula acadica

Forest Yellowjacket? - Vespula acadica
Sitka County, Alaska, USA
March 21, 2006
I think this is probably a Forest Yellowjacket queen (Vespula acadica), but I would like some confirmation of that. This picture was taken on a relatively warm March day during a very chilly spring and following summer.
