Size: 23 mm
This is the first of 3 different specimens collected. I don't know if they are all the same species or not. They do come from different localities however. If you can ID, help is appreciated.

Wow
Again, Laphria, and this is a male. L. partitor males should have easily visible red hair on the legs. This is likely L. astur in the other sex. Great face.

for the ID on this fly, Herschel. I have not had a name for it for the last few years now and am finally posting some older material. I love photographing robber flies. Even my wife states they appear "almost fuzzy and cuddly except for that wicked mouth dagger."
